In 1949, Giuseppe Perego designed a baby carriage boasting the aesthetics and functionality that he felt was missing from existing brands. Together with beautiful fabrics and functional design, Perego’s pram soon became sort after in Italy. This initial pram launched what is now known as the brand, Peg Perego.As the brands popularity grew, High Chairs were added to the brands product line with the same attention to quality. In the 1960s, Peg Perego also began production of children’s pedal operated riding vehicles.
In 2010, Peg Perego still remains a family-owned business. Peg Perego employs 1,500 people worldwide and operates factories and offices in Italy, United States, Canada and Brazil.
